We are pleased to inform you about the call for applications for the Childhood Cancer Switzerland research award 2026.

With this prize, the innovative work of a young researcher in the field of basic research in paediatric oncology in Switzerland will be rewarded.

Submission deadline: 30 November 2026

Prize money: CHF 50’000

Application Information

Field of research: Basic research in the field of childhood cancer

Application criteria: Research performed (at least partially) in Switzerland at a childhood cancer associated clinic or institution by PhD candidates or young researchers

Application documents

A - Project description: max. 1 page (A4), consisting of:

• Background & aims: What is already known? What is not known?

• Materials & methods: How is the scientific question addressed

• Expected results & timeline: What are the expected results and what is the research plan?

B - Lay summary: Description in lay language on max. 1⁄2 page (A4)

C - Curriculum vitae: max. 2 pages (A4)

D - List of publications over the last 5 years

E - Budget and other funding
