The Swiss Childhood Cancer Registry is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a scientific symposium held on-site in Bern from 21 to 22 August 2026.

This milestone event features an inspiring lineup of national and international experts exploring how data continues to shape the landscape of pediatric oncology. Key themes of the symposium include:

  • The evolution of childhood cancer registration and its impact on research, policy, and care.

  • Environmental risk factors, including new evidence on pesticides and PFAS exposure. 

  • Future perspectives in genetic predisposition, biobanks, omics, and novel treatments.

  • Life after cancer, highlighting research from childhood cancer survivor studies.

The event is on-site and free for all those interested in connecting, sharing ideas, and engaging with colleagues, fellow researchers, and stakeholders.
